About Sunrice Herbicide
Sunrice Herbicide plays an essential role in protecting rice crops by managing unwanted weeds effectively. It contains Ethoxysulfuron 15% WDG, a key active ingredient from the sulfonyl urea group of herbicides. When used in combination with a grass herbicide like Rice Star as a tank mix, it offers comprehensive weed control in rice fields.

Technical Details

• Active Ingredient: Ethoxysulfuron 15% WDG
• Mode of Entry: Selective & post-emergent
• Mode of Action: Ethoxysulfuron is absorbed primarily through the leaves and translocated throughout the plant. The herbicide inhibits plant growth, causing chlorosis (yellowing) to spread first upwards (acropetally) and then downwards (basipetally), leading to the plant’s death within 3-4 weeks after application. It works by inhibiting acetolactate synthase, crucial for plant development.

Target Weeds:

• False daisy (Eclipta alba)
• Monochoria vaginalis
• Marsilea quadrifolia
• Ammania baccifera

Dosage: Apply 83.3 to 100 gm/ha, ideally 5-10 days after transplanting the rice crop.

Application Method: Foliar spray

Additional Information

• Ensure thorough land preparation before application.
• Drain excess water before uniformly applying the herbicide on a moist soil surface.
• Flood the field 24 hours after the herbicide application for best results.
