Ichigo (Imazethepyr 10% SL) is a selective, systemic early post-emergent herbicide from the Imidazolinone chemical group, designed for the control of grasses, sedges, and broadleaf weeds in Soybean and Groundnut crops. It is absorbed quickly by the foliage and roots of weeds, providing extended residual action in the soil, preventing new weed emergence.

Features and USP:

  • Systemic Action: Quickly absorbed by both foliage and roots, offering longer-lasting weed control.
  • Residual Effect: Provides extended residual control on newly emerging weeds.
  • Application Timing: Best applied 10 to 14 days after sowing when broadleaf weeds are in the 2-3 leaf stage or when grassy weeds reach 2-3 inches in height.
  • Compatibility: Can be tank-mixed with other herbicides, and should be mixed with ammonium sulphate and surfactant (ICHIGO-BOOST) provided with the Ichigo bottle for enhanced efficacy.
  • Uniform Application: Ensure uniform spraying without overlap for optimal results.

Crops and Recommended Weeds:

  1. Soybean:
    • Target Weeds: Umbrella sedge, Jungle rice, Barnyard grass, Dudhi, Kuli seeds, False amaranth, Commelina (Day flower), etc.
    • Dosage: 300-400 ml Ichigo + 300-400 g Ichigo-Boost + 225-300 ml Ichigo-Spread
    • Water Dilution: 200-240 liters
    • Waiting Period: 75 days
  2. Groundnut:
    • Target Weeds: Umbrella sedge, Carpet weed, Love grass, Commelina (Day flower), etc.
    • Dosage: 400-600 ml Ichigo + 400-600 g Ichigo-Boost + 300-450 ml Ichigo-Spread
    • Water Dilution: 200-280 liters
    • Waiting Period: 90 days

Application Notes:

  • Always use a Flood Jet or Flat Fan nozzle for herbicide spraying to ensure even coverage and avoid overlap.
